ACTIVITIES

Hello everybody!

Today I’m gonna talk about a practice activity and my results.

In the activity I had to do three exercises about reading, two about listening and one exercise about vocabulary. My best score was on reading activities, in both I have the maxims score, but, for another side, in the activity about vocabulary I had 25 correct answer of 33. For this reason I think that I need work more on vocabulary, because there a lot of words that I don’t know and if I don’t have so many vocabulary it will be difficult that I can read, listen and talk English very well.

A person that I admire

Charles Aranguiz

Hello everybody! Today I’m gonna talk about a public Chilean person that I admire J

The name of this person is Charles Aranguiz, a soccer player, and I know him because he played in Universidad de Chile, the football club of my life.

Charles before to be a soccer player was a very poor boy. He and his brother played soccer in their neighborhood and their mother have a lot illusion that one of them could be a great soccer player and could get out of the poverty.  How Charles was the second child, all the cards were putting in his brother, but he was dad, so had to star to work and leave the soccer. For this reason Charles was the hope of the family. He left his house in Santiago, and traveled to Calama when he was very young. Far of his family started a silent and lonely football career, career that was fruitful when he came to Universidad de Chile. His hard story life, and his way to play, very silence, very smart, very solidary, very exactly, are the things that I admire of him. I admire to his modest, because after all, being America’s champion he still being very shy and very humble and this give me admiration and cuteness.

 If someday I could see him face to face, probably I asked him if he will come back to Universidad de Chile, and if is real that “Dany Daniel”, a man that I knew in this summer is his friend.

Finally I just want to say that if the entire soccer player was like Aranguiz, we could win the world cup!

My favorite artist

Hi everybody! Today I’m gonna talk about Syd Barrett, my favorite artist.

Syd Barrett was the founder of the Britannic Rock band called “Pink Floyd”, and his real name was “Roger Keith Barrett”, but don’t had problems with “Roger Watters”  he change his name to Syd. Also, he was a very good painter. I discovered him in 2010 because I knew Pink Floyd and I liked it, but, I don’t feel me complete with the band, I felt that something was missing in my life and in my music, and someday, I don’t know why, I wrote “Effervescing elephant” in google and show up to me all the songs of Syd Barrett.

I like about them principally the lyrics of his songs. I feel very represent with the lyrics of Syd, especially when I was on a very dark depression. Also I like his paints and sometimes his music, but he wasn’t a very good musician jaja.

My favorite piece about him is I think that maybe “The madcap laughs” but I really love everything of him, I love too Opel and Barrett .I think that he must be live, but the good people die young.

Finally maybe is interesting say that the Pink Floyd’s song “Wish You Where Here” and “Shine In Your Crazy Diamond” (the best songs of Pink Floyd after him) were wrote for him.
